2021 Resolutions

How would your life change in 2021 if your new year resolutions were spiritual?

I attended an amazing service yesterday, and the teacher talked about how much more important our spiritual goals are rather than our natural goals.

“while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

Everything we see in this world like our weight, the car we drive, new hobbies, traveling, etc are TEMPORAL things. Now obviously, temporal doesn’t mean bad it just means less important than the eternal things.

So it really made me re-evaluate my personal goals for this year. And I wanted to encourage you to do the same.

Most times, we make temporal things our priorities and put the spiritual things on the back burner because we forget how much they affect our daily physical lives on this earth.

But let me ask you again, how would your life change if you made prayer, scripture reading, and worship to Jesus a non-negotiable every day?

Would you be a better parent? a better friend? a better spouse?

Would you have more joy? more peace? more wisdom?

Would you enjoy your every moment more?

Sis, you and I are in the same boat. Our lives are B-U-S-Y so I get it.

But, I know that if we commit today, right here right now, that we will MAKE A WAY and FIND THE TIME to pray, read and worship every day that our lives and the lives of everyone around us will change drastically for the better for eternity.

If you still feel like you need something (time, money, energy, etc) to make these changes, I want to leave you with this verse.

“His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” 2 Peter 1:3

His divine power has already given us everything we need for this.

love you,
Pao.
