The ultimate quarantine Guide for moms

Hey, beautiful friend!

It’s only week two of the quarantine, and you’ve probably already run out of ideas to keep your kids and yourself busy. The more the days pass, the more the time seems to mush together and become one big mush.

So, to navigate through this Social Distance time, I’ve created the ultimate quarantine guide for moms to make the most out of this short season. I cover things you can do with your child and things you can do for yourself, recipes, blogs, podcasts, and more.

I know so many of us, moms, are worried about how our lives will be affected and how our lifestyle is going change after this.

Honestly, I’ve had to force myself to surrender all my fears and cast all my worries to Jesus. He is good at His job, and we can trust that He will help us get through this.

For this guide, I’ve tried to make sure everything is still available on Amazon because, hello, “social distance.” Ain’t nobody got time for getting COVID-19.
Here it is.

Toddlers Activities

First things first, the kids. Try not to stress so much about keeping them busy. It’s ok if they have more screen time, but it’s also ok for them to be bored. Boredom leads to creativity. Let your kids run outside or even start playing with those toys they got for Christmas. You know, the ones they only played with once.

Kids don’t need extra stuff to play. They just need the basics. Here are some of my favorite kids’ activities to keep them entertained for hours.

1. Play-Doh Modeling Compound 10 Pack Case of Colors, Non-Toxic, Assorted Colors, 2 Oz Cans, Ages 2 & Up, (Amazon Exclusive), Multicolor

2. Kare & Kind Set of 11 pcs Smart Dough Tools Kit with Extruder Tools / Dough Tools (Extruder Tools + Dough Tools).

3. Crayola Washable Sidewalk Chalk, Outdoor Toy, Gift for Kids, 16 Count

keeping kids Healthy

The best way to help our little ones during this time is to boost their Immune system. Here are my favorite supplements I give to my kids.

Books to Read

I got to be honest. Reading is not my forte. I don’t necessarily enjoy it, but I married a literal book worm. So, I could say it’s more like an acquired taste. Also, leaders are readers. And I want to pass that on to my kids. So, here are some of the books that have helped me become a better mom, wife, and leader.

1. For the Love of Discipline: When the Gospel Meets Tantrums and Time-Outs

2. The Turquoise Table: Finding Community and Connection in Your Own Front Yard

3. Unpunishable: Ending Our Love Affair with Punishment

4. Becoming MomStrong: How to Fight with All That’s in You for Your Family and Your Faith

5.Bless This Mess: A Modern Guide to Faith and Parenting in a Chaotic World

Cleaning schedule

Quarantine is the perfect time to get yourself on a cleaning routine. With everyone in the house, it can get chaotic pretty quickly, and that usually makes things so much worst for our spirt. So here is a cute and straightforward cleaning schedule that will help you keep your house in order.

You can download this free printable here.

At-home workouts

Let’s get those bodies moving, ladies. I think exercising is essential, especially in this time of isolation, because we are living in a stationary state right now.

Here are some fun and easy different types of workouts, so you get your blood pumping.

Prayer lists

If there was ever a time to pray, that time is now. Make sure you are staying connected to the one who knows it all. If you don’t, fear and worry will have their way with you.

God holds your future in His hands, and you can trust Him with it. Make sure you are in fellowship with Him as much as you can. He will carry you through this. Here are some prayer lists to help guide you in case you forget what to say.

 Dinner Ideas

I may not be the best cook in the world, mainly because my husband is a simple man that prefers his meals with no more than three ingredients, but I am very resourceful.

So here, I have linked some of my favorite simple yummy recipes that I’m sure will be a crowd pleaser.

Women’s podcasts

I was never into podcasts before, until one day, I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to play one in hopes that it would help me fall asleep. It worked! Lol, But it also opened this whole new world for me.
